  • Location: Arts Institute
    NBPAC

Warm Up for Winter… Wonderland! On December 2 from 3 to 5 pm at Monument Square Park, our First Fridays event will get you in a festive holiday mood. The DJ will spin some holiday tunes while our caricature artist creates your likeness in a holiday scene of your choice. Our face painter is ready with festive body art designs and the free hot cocoa, cookies, and Jamaican patties will warm your soul. In the theme of staying warm, bring donations for our coat, hat, and glove drive (new items only) for REPLENISH. All of this will get you in the mood for the New Brunswick Tree Lighting and Winter Wonderland event directly following.

Wash and Learn

wash and learn

Select Wednesdays each month

We are excited to share this innovative bilingual (Spanish-English) program called Wash and Learn. This creative literacy program organized by Roosevelt Elementary School in New Brunswick provides books for children of all ages, as well as adults. All donations are housed at a local laundromat to encourage students to read while parents are doing their laundry.

To donate books to New Brunswick’s Wash and Learn program, please contact Anne-Marie Riveaux McMahon at
anne-marie_mcmahon@nbpsnj.net and Maritza Acevedo at maritza_acevedo@nbpsnj.net.
