East Jersey Old Town Village- Union Muster

Immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of the Civil War era and meet the people who fought for freedom and to preserve a nation. Interact with soldiers, artillerymen, musicians, medical personnel, and civilians. Learn what camp life was like and see Union Army troops conduct firing demonstrations and combat maneuver as they prepare for deployment. With music performances, children's games, food trucks and more.

Wash and Learn

wash and learn

Select Wednesdays each month 

We are excited to share this innovative bilingual (Spanish-English) program called Wash and Learn. This creative literacy program organized by Roosevelt Elementary School in New Brunswick provides books for children of all ages, as well as adults. All donations are housed at a local laundromat to encourage students to read while parents are doing their laundry.
