Kid FishingThe Division of Recreation and Programming within the Office of Parks and Recreation is responsible for providing recreational opportunities for residents of Middlesex County in the 19 developed and active County parks which encompass over 2,900 acres.

Programs and Projects include:

The park and boating facilities provide primarily active recreation opportunities, whereas the conservation areas and preserves are managed for passive recreation and environmental protection and improvement.

Raritan Bay Waterfront Park Art-in-the-Park

Raritan Bay Waterfront

Sunday, September 18, from 1-3 pm — Draw inspiration from the scenic Raritan Bay Waterfront Park located at 201 John T. O’Leary Boulevard in South Amboy. Artist Hal Vandermark will be painting and sharing expert tips with artists of all ages and levels. Bring your favorite painting or drawing supplies to participate! Engage with the music of the Charles Tyler Trio in a new way with a dance and movement workshop led by dancer, Nikola Palivoda. Movers of all ages and abilities are welcome!
