Right on the heels of our successful resume-writing workshop with Michelle Riklan, the Middlesex County Office of Career Opportunity wants to help jobseekers get ready for the next step in getting hired – the interview! Now that you have an up-to-date, streamlined, eye-catching resume in hand, you’re all the more likely to score an interview. While securing an interview can be exciting, it can also be nerve-wracking! Your resume already showcases your experience, but how do you showcase your best self?
Don’t fret! MCOCO will never leave you unprepared! In October, we invite Training Specialist and Founder of the Professional Coach Academy Sherry Prindle to sharpen your interviewing skills to make the best impression and land the job - whether your interview is in-person, remote, by phone, or even by email!
This session will include tips on nervousness and body language, and it will go further to highlight not-so-subtle methods of influence and likeability:
- Preparation tricks that set you apart
- Ways to leverage social media to look good
- Neurolinguistic Programming techniques for being confident and building rapport
- Exploration of kinds of questions with guidance on how to handle each
- Overview of things you should and should not bring up in an interview
- Principles of influence that set you up as a good match for the position
Sherry Prindle brings 27 years of expertise as an International Speaker, Technical Trainer, Certified Master Coach, and Consultant. She has a Master of Arts in Business and Linguistics & Bachelor of Arts in Communications and International Relations, along with many Certifications: Certified Professional Trainer, Certified Master Coach Trainer, and Certified Level 3 Gamification Master Craftsman. She has delivered over 4,000 presentations on hundreds of topics across six countries in three languages. She has a natural ability to translate concepts and desired outcomes into effective training programs and to make dry, technical material fun and engaging.
