Re-Warding and Re-Districting

N.J.S.A. 40:44-13 Division into Wards or Change in Boundaries

In compliance with N.J.S.A. 40:44-13, the public is hereby notified that the Re-Warding Commissions will fix and determine the ward boundaries of Monroe Township, Piscataway Township, Old Bridge Township, City of South Amboy, and Woodbridge Township so that each ward is formed of compact and contiguous territory. The population of the most populous ward so created shall not differ from the population of the least populous ward so created by more than 10% of the mean population of the wards derived by dividing the total population of the municipality by the number of wards created. The most recent federal decennial census shall be used as the population determinant.

N.J.S.A 19:4-14. Revision or readjustment of boundaries at option of county board

Where it appears that serious inconveniences have been caused the voters by the size or shape of an election district, or that certain districts contain an unreasonably large or small number of voters in comparison with other districts, or that a change is necessary because of a change in ward lines, the county board may revise or readjust the election districts in the municipality, without regard to whether a readjustment is authorized by section 2 or 3 of this act.

RECOUNT ELECTION NOTICEMILLTOWN

 

The Middlesex County Board of Elections will be having a hand recount of mail-in ballots from the November 8, 2022, General Election for Milltown Borough on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at 10:30 am in the conference room of 11 Kennedy Boulevard, East Brunswick, 08816.

 

The Hon. Pedro J. Jimenez, Jr. of the Middlesex County Superior Court issued an order requiring the recount of mail-in ballots for the council contest for Milltown Borough.

 

Parties to the Order as well as the public can attend and witness the hand recount.
