Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Training brings law enforcement, community leaders, advocates and mental health professionals together to provide a safer and more effective response to people with mental illnesses or substance abuse disorders who are in crisis.
The CIT-NJ model strives to provide law enforcement officers and mental health professionals with knowledge and crisis resolution skills that will allow them to respond to the individual in crisis in a manner that minimizes the potential for injury.
