Basic Crash Investigation is the first or at-scene course that teaches the student the proper techniques for recognizing and properly recording collision results on roadways and gathering critical evidence that may be used to reconstruct a crash at a later date. The police officer will learn how to take measurements, sketches, after crash diagrams and to systematically photograph the vehicles and scene. All students must bring a scientific calculator. Also, basic math skills are required to successfully complete the course.
