YOU ASKED FOR IT! WE LISTENED! On Saturday, September 30th, 2023, the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office will host the “Blue Steel” Handgun Challenge at the Police Range in Keasbey, NJ.
This year’s event will consist of six (6) different stages made up entirely of steel targets. Each competitor will have 5 individual timed runs at each stage. The fasted four times will be submitted for scoring. There will be two separate divisions for this competition: Duty Gun Division and “Outlaw” Division.
Duty Gun Division: Department issued weapon and holster. If your agency issues weapons with a red dot optic, you will compete in the “Outlaw” Division.
“Outlaw” Division: Weapons equipped with Red Dot Optics, extended magazine wells, compensators, and other modifications will compete in this category.
Any weapon determined to be unsafe by range staff will be excluded from the competition. Random inspections will be conducted.

Scores will be kept for each course of fire. Awards will be given at the end of the day for high score Top Shot Duty Gun Division (1st, 2nd and 3rd place) and “Outlaw” Division (1st, 2nd and 3rd place)
Required Equipment: Handgun, holster, minimum 3 magazines, 200 rounds of ammunition, body armor, eyes, ears, range attire, water* and any other items you would need for a day on the range
THIS EVENT IS LIMITED TO 60 COMPETITORS.
