This course provides the basic operational theory and practical training to instruct users to reasonably safely and effectively operate TASER CEWs. This course covers the TASER X26, X26P and X2 CEWs, and will certify those who successfully complete the course as TASER instructors for a period of 2 years. This course is open to sworn law enforcement officers, military personnel, and licensed professional security employees. Part 1 of the courses is completed online. New instructors will spend approximately 4 hours online before participating in 16 hours of practical training (Day 1 and Day 2). Recertifying instructors will spend approximately 8 hours online before participating in 8 hours of practical training (Day 2).

The Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office and Axon International (formerly known as Taser International) are hosting a Taser (C.E.D.) INSTRUCTOR Course for the Taser X2. This is for new instructors and instructors who need to be recertified.
The course also includes several drills and exercises requiring physical exertion. Students should be in good physical condition and must advise the Master Instructor of any preexisting injuries or physical limitations.
TASER X26P, X2 and the new TASER 7 Instructor certification course – With the release of Version 21, we have reformatted the Instructor course to teach students how to develop and safely execute scenarios and isolation drills, provide more in-depth scenario training, and Virtual Reality training. Students will learn how to develop and safely implement scenarios; Isolation drills and conduct teach backs to hone their Instructor skills. This online and practical day course will certify you to instruct others on the use of one or more of the X26P, X2 and TASER 7 TASER Conducted Energy Weapons. The online portion is a prerequisite to attend the practical schedule day.
What To Bring:
The dress is casual. Bring your department issued TASER holster (if applicable). Holsters will be available for those who need them. Please bring your duty belt with NO firearms, ammunition, or weapons of any kind.
