Kid FishingThe Division of Recreation and Programming within the Office of Parks and Recreation is responsible for providing recreational opportunities for residents of Middlesex County in the 19 developed and active County parks which encompass over 2,900 acres.

Programs and Projects include:

The park and boating facilities provide primarily active recreation opportunities, whereas the conservation areas and preserves are managed for passive recreation and environmental protection and improvement.

Schoolhouse Rock LIVE! Jr.

Schoolhouse Rock Live! JR. - Based on the ever-popular, award-winning Saturday morning educational cartoon series, this Emmy Award-winning series and pop culture phenomenon teaches lessons with clever, catchy tunes. This fast-paced musical follows Tom, a young schoolteacher, who is nervous about his first day of teaching. He tries to relax by watching TV, when various characters representing facets of his personality emerge from the set and show him how to win his students over with imagination and music. Memorable songs such as "Just a Bill," "Lolly, Lolly, Lolly," "Conjunction Junction" and “Interjections” bring his lesson plans vividly to life.
