A listing of 4-H Clubs active in Middlesex County is available by contacting the 4-H office at 732-398-5261 or e-mailing 4H.information@co.middlesex.nj.us.

4-H clubs can be created, or existing clubs joined, by youth interested in specific content such as science, animals, leadership, arts and crafts, archery, or the environment.  Joining a 4-H club offers a focus for the youth's interest while building their skills. 4-H members have the opportunity to develop and practice life skills such as communication and public speaking, teamwork, citizenship and service, organization and planning and many more.

4-H utilizes a learn-by-doing approach to teach responsibility, community awareness, and character development.

New 4-H clubs were recently created covering such program areas as sewing, robotics, competitive riding and special needs youth.

There are annual programs open to 4-H members as well as the general public such as 4-H Explorations Week (summer day camp), the 4-H Haunted House and Hayride, and the Learn 2Lead Program, bringing youth together to foster team building skills, increased self-esteem, and further discovery into interest areas such as the arts or science. These programs are also a good recruitment tool for the 4-H program.

4-H Volunteer Opportunities

4-H volunteers are the backbone of the 4-H Youth Development Program. Volunteers receive training and support for which ever role they choose. 4-H volunteers are taught how to provide a safe environment for youth so they can experiment, and grow. We celebrate everyone who has chosen the 4-H volunteer experience.

4-H Youth Development program volunteer opportunities for adults may be available. Read more on how to become a 4-H volunteer.
