About the Family Skating Rink

This outdoor skating rink is in beautiful Roosevelt Park and overlooks the lake. Each winter, thousands of people swarm to the rink to experience outdoor ice skating right in their own backyard. In the spring and fall, children can take roller skating lessons and boogie down during open skate. This beautiful facility has a lot to offer year-round, including open skating, rink rentals and skating lessons. We strongly recommend that everyone wears a helmet.

We accept cash, credit, and debit cards. Sales tax is included in all our fees.

Figure skate rentals are available from toddler size 8 to adult size 15.

Skate rentals are called off the floor for 10 minutes before the end of each public session.

Private Rentals

Ice Skating Rink Private Facility Rental Rink rentals are offered when we are not open for lessons and public skating. Please call for more information or fill out the online request form. (skate rental not included)

1 Hour**.....................................$ 265.00

1.5 Hours** ...............................$ 397.50

2 Hours** ..................................$ 530.00

2.5 Hours**................................$ 662.50

**One ranger is required for all groups renting the rink over 100 people, or as specified by Director of Infrastructure. More than one Park Ranger may be required. The cost for a park Ranger is $60 per hour.

Group Lessons

Group Lesson Series

3 week series (Begins Mid-November)............................................................ $48.00

7 week series (Series I -Begins Early December – Series II Begins Mid-January). $112.00

Each lesson is a 1/2 hour long (30 Minutes) and is ONE (1) day per week until the series is completed.

Helmets are required for all students. We do not sell, rent, or provide helmets.

Students will get to practice after their lesson time.

Skate rental is included. Lesson applications are available online; however, registration is only in person during rink business hours.

We’re thrilled to announce that the Skate Zone Café is reopening this season after being closed due to COVID! Join us for a delicious selection of pizza, chicken tenders, hot chocolate, drinks, and snacks. We can’t wait to welcome you back for great food and fun times on the rink!
