Union Muster

Immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of the Civil War era at East Jersey Old Town Village! Watch history come to life through historical interpreters including Union officers, soldiers, and artillerymen. Find out what it means to “pass muster” with firing demonstrations and combat maneuvers. Engage in camp life with musicians, medical personnel, and civilians. Enjoy children’s crafts, food trucks and more activities for all ages.

Wash and Learn

wash and learn

Select Wednesdays each month 

We are excited to share this innovative bilingual (Spanish-English) program called Wash and Learn. This creative literacy program organized by Roosevelt Elementary School in New Brunswick provides books for children of all ages, as well as adults. All donations are housed at a local laundromat to encourage students to read while parents are doing their laundry.
