History Day

History Day is one of the biggest programs of the year and features history that spans hundreds of years. Visitors can interact with local, state, and national historical organizations at the History Tent, visit Revolutionary War and Civil War camps, see musket and cannon demonstrations, enjoy concerts, catch a vintage baseball game, watch skilled artisans at work, and take a wagon ride through Johnson Park. With children's crafts, food trucks, and more, there is something for everyone.

Wash and Learn

wash and learn

Select Wednesdays each month

We are excited to share this innovative bilingual (Spanish-English) program called Wash and Learn. This creative literacy program organized by Roosevelt Elementary School in New Brunswick provides books for children of all ages, as well as adults. All donations are housed at a local laundromat to encourage students to read while parents are doing their laundry.

To donate books to New Brunswick’s Wash and Learn program, please contact Anne-Marie Riveaux McMahon at
anne-marie_mcmahon@nbpsnj.net and Maritza Acevedo at maritza_acevedo@nbpsnj.net.
