Are you a confident individual with a high school diploma or higher, who is comfortable using a desktop computer, with excellent listening and verbal communication skills, empathy and compassion, good judgment and reasoning, and a capacity to keep cool under pressure? Would you like to work closely with local police departments to direct emergency responders where they are most needed, in a role with a local median salary of $46,000/yr and great benefits?
The Middlesex County Office of Career Opportunity is partnering with Middlesex College to recruit displaced workers for a grant funded 911 Dispatcher/Telecommunicator and Emergency Medical Dispatcher program, set to begin in January 2022. In less than 6 months you can earn two in-demand industry certifications and up to 6 college credits as you prepare to work in one of the County’s most essential in-demand public safety fields. Eligible participants’ program tuition is covered by the Opportunity Partnership Grant, and you can study around your daytime obligations with convenient evening classes two nights a week.
