Invest Smart., Middlesex County’s Strategic Investment Framework will use data to identify areas of the County most appropriate for land development, redevelopment, and economic development. The framework will incorporate preservation priorities identified in the County’s Open Space and Recreation, Comprehensive Farmland Preservation, and Integrated Landscape and Ecosystem Services plans, and identify areas that should be prioritized for community development and human capital investments to address economic, health and other disparities along race, class, gender, disability status and other dimensions of diversity.

Invest Smart. will also provide a place-based framework for the County’s business engagement activities, ensure efficient use of limited public resources, and guide private sector, State and local government investments.
