Medical Unit

Information on Psychiatric and Medical Services

The Medical Unit is staffed by Board eligible/certified psychiatrists. The George J. Otlowski, Sr. Center for Mental Health Care is able to provide psychiatric evaluation and medication for individuals, involved in our services or programs, with a confirmed, treatable psychiatric condition. Education and referrals are offered. Medical Unit staff also can provide information or referral sources for obtaining Medicaid/Medicare coverage or pharmaceutical company assistance for eligible individuals.

The Medical Unit is staffed by board-eligible/certified psychiatrists. The George J. Otlowski, Sr. Center for Mental Health Care is able to provide psychiatric evaluations and medication for individuals with a confirmed, treatable psychiatric condition that are engaged in individual and/or group psychotherapy in one of the other programs at the Center. Education, referrals, and some case management services are offered, with the assistance of a case manager and/or our nursing staff. Center staff can help clients obtain pharmaceutical company assistance to obtain medication if eligible.

For those clients leaving inpatient psychiatric treatment, a priority psychiatric evaluation appointment is provided to assure timely continuation of care.

 

Medication Management

In all cases, treatment is required in other George J. Otlowski, Sr. Center for Mental Health Care departments along with adjunctive medication.

For those leaving inpatient treatment, a priority psychiatric appointment is provided to assure timely continuation of care.

Children and adults of all ages can be served.

Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays
8:30 am-4:15 pm

Tuesdays and Thursdays
8:30 am-6 pm
