The Intoxicated Driver Resource Center (IDRC)

Beginning June 1, 2023, the Middlesex IDRC 12-Hour Class will be held IN-PERSON at Middlesex College in Edison. Payment is due online prior to the class.

The Intoxicated Driver Resource Center (IDRC) is a unit of Middlesex County Government responsible for providing the two-day, 12-hour educational/screening program for individuals convicted of various statutes pertaining to operating under the influence, refusal of the breathalyzer, underage drinking, drunk boating, and fatal emergent accident. Based upon screening criteria, individuals may be referred to a substance use treatment agency for further evaluation. If referred for treatment, the IDRC is responsible for monitoring treatment compliance.

DUI offenders are responsible for paying the program fee of $264 online, prior to the class. Failure to abide by IDRC requirements will result in the issuance of a non-compliance report to the sentencing court, with the possibility of a minimum two-day jail sentence with further license suspension until all requirements are satisfied.
