The Middlesex County Commission on Child Abuse and Missing Children (CCAMC) develops and conducts activities and events that educate the public and increase awareness about child abuse and missing children. The CCAMC arranges for education programs, including workshops and classes for parents and children, and disseminates information on services available in Middlesex County for abused children and their parents, and the parents of missing children. The commission also participates in municipal events, such as street fairs, to distribute print information and respond to questions.

Established by New Jersey Department of Human Services regulation and appointed by the County Board of County Commissioners, the Middlesex County Human Services Advisory Council (HSAC) works closely with both the State and County, making recommendations for allocation of funds, monitoring, and maintaining a large advocacy role on behalf of the needs and concerns of County residents. This group's monthly meetings are open to the public; a schedule may be obtained by contacting the office at 732-745-4519.

Mental Health Board members are volunteers who live or work in Middlesex County and have a knowledgeable interest in mental health and wellness.  The Mental Health Board meets monthly to provide oversight for the mental health services continuum of care; to recommend funding; to monitor County funded programs; to provide a forum to discuss priority concerns; and to establish a mechanism for advocacy on behalf of consumers, programs, and community actions. The Board also reviews consumer grievances.

The Middlesex County Housing Continuum of Care Committee (MCHC³) is the primary vehicle for planning and coordinating the delivery of services to the homeless and collaborating with Coming Home of Middlesex County, Inc. to implement the Middlesex County Plan to End Homelessness. MCHC³’s membership comprises mainly homeless service, providers, advocates for the homeless and low-income families and individuals.

In line with the mission of the HIV Health Services Planning Council, volunteers are needed to help plan for the development, implementation, and continual improvement of the health care and treatment services for People Living With HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) who reside in Middlesex, Somerset, and Hunterdon Counties. The Veterans Services Office maintains close liaison with the various veterans organizations within the county and provides support for veteran events through the Middlesex County Veterans Advisory Council (MCVAC) under the auspices of the Middlesex County Board of County Commissioners.
