Clerk of the Board

The Board of County Commissioners shall, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:9-26, appoint a Clerk of the Board. The Clerk shall be the official depository and custodian of all official documents for the County. The Clerk shall keep and maintain the agenda for all meetings, a record of the official minutes, and related correspondence for the Board. The Clerk shall also perform such other duties as may be assigned to the Clerk from time to time by the Board and such duties as are imposed by statute. The Clerk shall also be responsible for overseeing the archives and record management functions for the County, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 et seq.

The Clerk of the Board of County Commissioners maintains the database of appointments to Boards and Commissions as required by statute, regulation or resolution.

The Clerk of the Board of County Commissioners is a member of the Strategic Implementation Team which is comprised of the County Administrator, Department Heads and key Office Directors.

The Clerk of the Board of County Commissioners is designated the Custodian of Government Records as authorized by Resolution No. 02-559.

The Clerk of the Board of County Commissioners is also responsible for overseeing the archives and record management functions for the County, pursuant to NJSA 47: 1A-1 et seq.
