E-Recording

Customers wishing to record documents electronically with our office can do so through the Sunrise recording portal.

E-Recording enables online submitters to submit their land title documents online and receive responses from the recorder’s office on the status of their submissions without leaving their office or home. Documents can be submitted online electronically 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Status information returned electronically by the recorder ensures filers that their documents were received at the Recorder’s office and allows submitters to track their documents including amending documents when they do not meet recording standards. E-Recording is convenient, saves time, and reduces paperwork. The Middlesex County Clerk's Registry Division uses New Jersey County Recording for eRecording. The New Jersey County Recording system is for use by title companies, mortgage companies, banking institutions, municipalities, and attorneys.

Standard recording fees apply to all documents. E-recording fees can be paid via ACH or by escrow.
Escrow customers who maintain active accounts with the Middlesex County Clerk’s Office may log in to the Registered Agent Portal to review transactions, deposits, account balances, and print results.
