Local Information Network & Communication System (LINCS)

As part of its responsibility to protect the health and safety of our more than 850,000 residents of Middlesex County, the Middlesex County Office of Health Services implemented a no cost emergency notification system, to provide emergency information throughout the county. The emergency notification system is part of the CDC Health Alert Network. NJLINCS is a statewide public health emergency notification system that links together local, state, and federal partners to alert of conditions that could adversely impact the public's health and safety. The system also provides situational awareness about emerging public health events, treatment and prevention guidelines, and other relevant public health information. Examples of the information we receive and distribute range from food recalls and communicable disease outbreaks. This emergency notification system is provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
