Pursuant to the amendments to R.3:9-1, which were made effective on May 20, 2016, any discovery relating to a filed indictment will be available from the Prosecutor's Office within seven days of the return or unsealing of that indictment. R.3:9-1(a).

Effective January 1, 2019, criminal discovery will be available via the eDiscovery Portal. All defense attorneys are encouraged to register and secure their discovery in that fashion. All discovery uploaded to the eDiscovery Portal will be redacted. Post-indictment, victim/witness identifiers can be secured by contacting the assigned/Vertical Teams assistant prosecutor.
