Victim Advocacy Center
Providing services to victims of abuse and major crimes; and educating the public on available resources, and how to report a crime.
The Victim Advocacy Center was opened April 31, 2003 adjacent to the Victim Witness Unit and the Special Victims Unit of the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office. The Center is a freestanding cohesive unit, which allows child and adult victims and their families to benefit from an integrated facility where services are readily available. This is a friendly setting to coordinate with all members of the Multi-Disciplinary Team including investigation and prosecution. The Center incorporates many disciplines, in a safe atmosphere, to maximize efficient prosecution and emphasize the compassionate treatment of victims through counseling and other services.
